Thiago Salgado

Hi, my name is Thiago Salgado, and I'm currently an Economics undergraduate student at UFSCar Sorocaba. I'm passionate about finance, data analysis, and helping teams grow through knowledge and strategy.

Since I couldn’t do internships due to my former full-time schedule, I looked for practical learning opportunities on campus. I joined the Finance League as a trainee, where I taught other members about topics such as macroeconomics, fixed income and equity products, sector analysis, and valuation techniques.

After noticing a gap in support for competition teams, I founded and structured a new internal division to guide and mentor our team members. We created training materials and brought in market professionals for private mentorships, which led us to achieve top placements in national competitions like Safra Top Gestor, Constellation Challenge, IGC Challenge and Bradesco BBI Research Challenge.

Along the way, I’ve been a teaching assistant in macroeconomics with a focus on R programming. I also took part in the LTS Challenge and Prêmio Turim, where I sharpened my skills in equity and credit markets. In addition, I completed certified finance and leadership courses from Yale and the University of Copenhagen to strengthen both my technical and communication abilities.

Most recently, I earned the CPA-20 certification, which qualifies me to work with high-income clients in financial services.

I am an economics student at UFSCar Sorocaba with a GPA of 3.06.
