Vitor Gomes

I’m a fullstack developer focused on building scalable and real-world web applications. Most of my experience is with TypeScript, React, Node.js/NestJS, PostgreSQL and AWS.

What I enjoy the most about software development is solving problems and turning ideas into products that people can actually use in their daily lives. I’ve worked on both frontend and backend, but I also like being involved in infrastructure, deployment and cloud environments using Docker, Linux and AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS and CloudFront.

Recently, I’ve been building personal projects where I handle everything from architecture and database modeling to deployment and monitoring. I’m always trying to improve my skills, learn new technologies and understand how systems work beyond just writing code.

I’d describe myself as someone resilient, curious and proactive, and I enjoy working in environments where I can keep learning and contributing to meaningful projects.

I worked as a Freelance Fullstack Developer for Hung Sing Academy, where I developed a complete student and enrollment management system. I participated in the entire process, from client meetings and requirement gathering to development and deployment. The project was built using React, TypeScript, Node.js, Docker and PostgreSQL, and helped reduce the enrollment process time from around 4 hours to approximately 20 minutes.

I’m also currently developing NovaGuild, a fullstack social platform focused on shared tasks and user progress tracking. In this project, I’m responsible for both the application development and cloud infrastructure, using technologies such as React, NestJS, PostgreSQL, Docker and AWS services like EC2, S3, CloudFront and RDS. Through this project, I’ve been gaining hands-on experience with scalable architectures, cloud environments and deployment workflows.

I have a degree in Information Systems from ENIAC University and also completed an English course at Cultura Inglesa, reaching an intermediate level (B1). During my studies, I developed a strong interest in software development, especially in fullstack applications, cloud infrastructure and scalable systems.
