Hello! I’m Alessandro Bardaro, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Behavioural Neuroscience Honours with a Minor in Multidisciplinary Science Studies at Concordia University. My academic journey is complemented by hands-on research experience in diverse labs, including those focused on neuroscience, chemistry, and environmental science.
My passion for research and science communication is evident through my poster publications and presentations at various conferences, where I have explored innovative treatments for Parkinson’s Disease and conservation practices in human-altered forests. This dedication to research is balanced by my commitment to community service, as demonstrated by my volunteer work with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada and the Father Dowd Residential Centre.
With a multilingual background, I am fluent in Italian, Serbian, English, and French, allowing me to connect with diverse communities effectively. My goal is to continue advancing in the field of neuroscience, contributing to impactful research and fostering inclusive, supportive environments for individuals from all walks of life.
I am currently a Student Ambassador at Concordia University and a Waiter at The Rib ‘N Reef in Montreal. My professional journey includes extensive research experience in various labs, such as the Brake Lab at Concordia University, where I focus on ovarian hormones, learning, memory, and cognition, and the Christopher J. Wilds Lab, where I worked on developing chemically-modified oligonucleotides. I also participated in biodiversity research with the Work with Nature foundation in Costa Rica.
In addition to my professional roles, I have presented my research at multiple conferences, highlighting my ability to communicate complex scientific concepts effectively. My experience is further enriched by my volunteer work with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada and the Father Dowd Residential Centre, where I support and mentor individuals from diverse backgrounds.
I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Behavioural Neuroscience Honours, with a Minor in Multidisciplinary Science Studies at Concordia University in Montreal. I have also completed an Undergraduate Certificate in Science Foundation from Concordia University. Additionally, I hold a Secondary Diploma from the Mile End Programme in Montreal. My educational background has equipped me with a strong foundation in neuroscience, multidisciplinary sciences, and technical skills essential for my professional and research endeavors.
