Soon entering my final semester of my Bachelors of Science with a major in Biology in the fall of 2023. I am a hard worker with lots of work experience as I have been working since I have been fifteen. In my future I plan on working in the medical field, hopefully attending medical school in the fall of 2024. During my free time I love spending time outdoors fishing, camping, and exploring. With my work ethic and ability to learn and pick up new skills easily I believe I could make an excellent addition to your team.
I am currently working in pharmacy with Lawtons Drugs since February 2021 as a pharmacy assistant. Working in pharmacy has been the retail of the medical field, I have learned accurate and error-free input of prescriptions, prescription packaging, and drug plan billing and appropriate pick up procedures. From my soon to be three years in this field I have also gained a knowledge of what the medications are used for which will be helpful in my future in the medical field. Jobs I have held before this have included 12 hour day and night shifts at Michelin Tire which has taught me how to work long hours and still balance a work life relationship. During high school in the summers I was a camp counsellor, life guard, and eventually assistant director. I learned how to take care of large groups of children and plan and execute activities to make their summers ones to remember. During the school year when I was in high school I worked as a receptionist at tanning and hair salon, this job taught me time management and how to establish healthy relationships with coworkers.
Soon finishing my Bachelors of Science at UNB my love for science continues to grow. Taking a university degree at anytime is not an easy accomplishment and during my time a global pandemic took place. Online learning taught me just how important self discipline is. It is easy to go to class when you know if you miss it there will be no way to make up for it, with online learning it is easy to fall behind and “catch up later”. Throughout my time at UNB I have made the deans list maintaining at 3.7 GPA despite all the challenges that online learning brought. Unlike many of my classmates I am going to university in a different province then my family is located so I have had to work throughout my semesters in order to afford living away. In high school I took all the APA classes my school had to offer. I graduated with a 95% average and university credits towards English and Biology courses. I am no stranger to hard work and keeping my grades up along with preforming well in my careers is extremely important to me.
