Asmaa Baksh

I am an enthusiastic and outgoing third year university student, with an academic foundation in Psychology and a strong interest in psychotherapy and clinical side of psychology. I have experience working in leadership positions within academic, community, and medical environments, am skilled working individually and in conjunction on a team, and maintaining work-life balance. I want to gain as much experience as I can to prepare myself for a career in the mental health field!

I'm looking to put in the time and effort that can further develop the skills and knowledge to do well in my future career.

• Collaborated in a hybrid format alongside peers to assist first years in their transition to university
• Used organizational and software skills to communicate with the group I am responsible for

• Interacted and assisted patients with their needs in the oncology and palliative care unit
• Ensured that equipment is adequately stocked and helped nurses with some of their tasks

• Worked as a team to organize community building and outreach events
• Planned and budgeted for upcoming events for students to participate, marketing informational posts to keep students informed
