I'm an aspiring lawyer and incoming Master of Public Policy student graduating in August 2025. I hope to gain part-time experience in an office while completing my Masters and move into full time work upon graduation.
In 2023, I completed a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in English. As I progressed through my degree, I became increasingly active in my school community as a volunteer and a member of the Cross-Country and Indoor Track Teams. I dedicated more time to my community and earned a place on the Dean's List in my final two years. I was also awarded the Lightning Athletics Award for Indoor Track in my final semester and was the recipient of the Jason Lang Scholarship once and Alberta Athletics Scholarship twice.
One of my key strengths is my adaptability to different roles and environments. At Earls, I successfully juggled three positions—server, bookkeeper, and team lead. Each of these roles has contributed to my understanding of how to impact sales and customer experiences. each of which has contributed to my understanding of how to impact sales and customer perception. I enhanced my knowledge of operations with an awareness of presentation, effective team management, and financial analysis. I also honed my MS Office skills through data input, shift reporting, management, and accounting. This variety sharpened my ability to think creatively on the spot, applying knowledge gained from different roles to difficult situations
My capstone project in my Bachelor of Arts in History focused on understanding the development of historical policy impacting marginalized peoples and the present-day impacts on all Canadians. The culmination of months of research and reports was a well-informed project that earned me an A+. My education goals are to complete a Master of Public Policy in August 2025 and begin a Juris Doctor at UCalgary a year later.
