Embarking on my professional journey, I have been the proprietor and operator of Holistic Support Services since 2020, while also serving as a Life Support Mentor and Coach. I am a recent graduate of an End-of-Life Specialist (Death Doula) certification program, enriching the range of services I offer with this valuable training. My focus is on providing compassionate support and care to individuals and families during the end-of-life process, including grief support.
Prior to this, I took maternity leave from my career at The University of Alberta between 2016 and 2018. Since 2017, I have been fully dedicated to being a Full-Time Mom to my son Jacob. This unique blend of roles reflects my commitment to both professional and personal spheres, showcasing a well-rounded and multifaceted approach to life and work.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with individuals in sensitive and emotionally challenging situations. In my previous role as a Program Assistant at CASA Child, Adolescent, and Family Mental Health, I provided support to clients and their families, facilitating smooth communication and offering resources during times of personal difficulty. This experience reinforced the importance of empathy, clear communication, and patience—qualities I know are essential in the funeral services industry.
As a Certified Death Doula, I have developed a deep understanding of the needs and emotions of those going through the grief process. I am committed to offering families the support they need, guiding them through decisions, and ensuring that they feel heard and respected. I am also proficient in coordinating various aspects of service, from scheduling and logistical arrangements to maintaining a calm and supportive presence in high-stress situations.
My skills in relationship-building, both with clients and colleagues, will ensure that I contribute effectively to the teamwork at Hainstock's Funeral Home & Crematory. I believe in maintaining open communication with all parties involved, including funeral home staff, clergy, and external partners, to ensure that services are delivered seamlessly and with the highest level of care and respect.
