My passion for people-pleasing began at a young age. As an empath, I have always been attuned to the emotions and needs of others. This lead me to working for 5 years in the funeral industry where I could ease the struggles of losing a loved one.
My role allowed me to provide comfort and support, ensuring that the journey of losing a loved one was as gentle and trouble-free as possible. I am a graduate of Humber College and am now taking on a new direction in business. Being an honour roll student while still having a part-time job shows that I can balance the good use of my time and productivity in both an academic and professional setting.
These qualities will continue to serve me well as I embark on a new direction into the business world.
Currently I am pursuing an advanced diploma in Human Resources at Durham College with plans to further my education at Ontario Tech University and graduate with a Bachelor of Commerce. I believe my empathetic and interpersonal skills will be highlighted in my HR career path. Looking ahead, my goals include being part of a successful organization and contributing to the creation of a positive work environment.
I am highly focused and deeply committed to increasing my knowledge within the Human Resources field and am eager to enhance the quality and productivity of my future work environment. My journey has been driven by my genuine desire to make a meaningful impact and I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.
I have developed strong organizational and analytical skills that would allow me to effectively support staffing processes such as coordinating job postings, screening candidates, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with hiring documentation. I take pride in my attention to detail, strong writing ability, and proficiency with computer systems.
I am currently completing a three-year Diploma in Human Resources, set to graduate in April, and bring over seven years of customer service experience in fast-paced environments that require professionalism, organization, and strong communication. Through my academic studies and work experience, I have developed a solid understanding of recruitment and selection processes, job analysis, compensation practices, and employment legislation. These experiences have strengthened my ability to manage confidential information, interpret policies and procedures, and provide clear guidance to employees and managers.
