Born in Merritt, B.C. and raised in Kelowna, I am excited at the opportunity to be back in my hometown and be closer to my family while contributing to the community I know so well.
With well over a decade in food & beverage, and event management, I bring strong skills in operations, leadership, and client services. As Owner of Velvet Café, I designed and maintained the café’s website and social media platforms,
developed and executed marketing initiatives across both print and digital campaigns, and served as lead event planner for in-house and external catering from concept to execution. In addition, I oversaw financials, including tracking monthly revenue, expenses, handling bookkeeping, all while recruiting, training,
and supervising staff to ensure smooth operations and excellent service.
Previously, as an Event Coordinator with Cantrav Services, I managed large-scale corporate programs anywhere from 200-1500 people which included team building activities, airport transfers, food & beverage services, audiovisual setups,
and guided tours.
My formal training at the Centre for Arts and
Technology in Event and Promotion Management gave me the foundation to succeed in the industry, and during that time I gained hands-on experience coordinating major events in the Okanagan. Highlights include planning and managing promotions, vendor relations, and logistics; assisting in theme creation,
marketing, and management for CATO Fest in support of ARTSCO; and serving as an on-site coordinator for Shop The Valley, where I accompanied guests on wine tours. I also worked as a media liaison for Center of Gravity 2010, writing artist biographies, press releases, and coordinating interviews between performers,
athletes, and the media. These experiences not only grounded me in the Kelowna community, but also shaped my passion for creating seamless, memorable events.
