Cedric Canu

Cedric Canu is a seasoned business and corporate development executive with extensive experience in both global corporations and startups. He has a diverse background in finance, operations, and strategic business development. Cedric has served as a Director on the board of the TSX organization, showcasing his leadership and governance expertise.

Recently, Cedric has pivoted his career towards technology and entrepreneurship, successfully securing a $1.0 million pre-seed funding round. As of January 2024, he holds the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO), further demonstrating his financial acumen and strategic vision.

Cedric Canu is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in business and corporate development across global corporations and startups. He co-founded Digitho Technologies, where he led business development and strategic initiatives and raised $1,000,000 CAD from angel investors. At Sheba Microsystems, Cedric transformed the company from an R&D startup to a commercial operation, securing Series A funding and forging partnerships with industry giants like Apple and Google.

As a Principal at Dewpoint Solutions, Cedric has supported medium and large organizations through critical development and transformation stages, managing FP&A and P&L and collaborating with top consulting firms. His earlier roles include revitalizing Sears Canada’s retail division, leading strategic finance projects at The Coca-Cola Company, and managing corporate development at South African Breweries and MTN Group.

Cedric holds an MBA and BBA in Finance from Temple University and has completed numerous specialized programs, including Innovation Governance, Corporate Restructuring and M&A, and AI & Entrepreneurship.

Cedric holds an MBA in Finance (1998) and a BBA in Finance (1997) from Temple University, Philadelphia. He has furthered his expertise with specialized programs, including Innovation Governance (2024) from the Council of Canadian Innovators, the ICD.D Corporate Director Program (2022) from the University of Toronto, and AI & Entrepreneurship (2022) from HEC Montreal. Cedric also completed a Micro and Nanofabrication (MEMS) course at EPFL (2021), Corporate Restructuring and M&A at Harvard Business School (2010), and Business Strategy Consulting at the IBM Training Institute in Brussels (2002).
