Digital Habit

When I was in high school my passion for animation was through the roof, I entered the Skills Canada competition twice for it, once getting to the provincial stage. After High school I enrolled in The Art Institute of Vancouver for Video Game Art and Design, however following that my life took on a different direction. After working jobs to just get by I have finally decided that's enough, I need to follow my passions again and so I have spent the last 2 years focused on learning animation and the processes involved with it. One of the major points I enjoyed and found helpful about the process was taking shots from blocking to final animation through reviews and notes from my mentor. Going through that process my mentor treated the review and notes sessions as though it were a job getting me use to the idea of what to expect in the role of an animator. Throughout the entire learning process I have went through I have been taught good body mechanics, locomotion, how to apply anticipation and follow through, how to set each key pose to animate from blocking through to polish. After going through the learning process my passion for animation has only increased and I hope I can get my start in it with you.
