I am currently studying for a certificate in Office Administration here in Drayton Valley. I will be finished my studies in April 2025.
In the meantime I am looking for suitable work that will allow me to expand of the skills I am learning, and utilize skills I already have. I have several years of customer service and retail experience. More recently I have gained experience working in vegetation control, running my own truck and equipment, preforming daily inspections, accurately writing work tickets, and working both independently and with a team.
I am a fast and adaptable worker, eager to learn new skills and become a strong member of your team.
I have experience working in a variety of retail environments, including the seasonal/interior decor department at Home Hardware, sales and merchandising at The Source, and Cap 1 (stock) and Online Grocery at Walmart. The experience between these employers has been vastly different, but I exceled in all. Working hard and not being afraid to ask questions has always worked in my favor.
With 3 years of experience working for West Country Energy Services, I have spent lots of time running trucks by myself and with others. Maintaining spray equipment and trucks, Argos, and UTVs. Daily paperwork including vehicle inspections, chemical counts and FLHAs. I have worked with clients such as FORTIS, Obsidian and Enbridge, following their respective site rules and procedures. I have driving experience in most conditions, including harsh winter conditions while operating no-flame diesel heaters.
I am currently studying at Northern Lakes College. I am in my first of two semesters for an Office Administration certificate. Currently I am in two communications courses, office procedures, word processing and learning Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook. My second semester will include accounting (Sage) and more communications/office procedures courses. I am currently achieving >90% in all courses. My studies will be completed April 2025.
