I was born in Busan, South Korea and grew up in Toronto, Canada. Having experienced both monocultural and multicultural societies, I have always been interested in learning about perspective shifting and the cultivation of wisdom. As a recent graduate in Statistics from the University of Toronto, I'm passionate about replicating this process in AI through machine learning, and using social media scraping to examine patterns in the global climate.
As a Data Science Fellow at Springboard, I went through 600+ hours of hands-on curriculum, with 1:1 industry expert mentor oversight and completion of 2 in-depth capstone projects. I mastered skills in python, SQL, data analysis, data visualization, hypothesis testing, and machine learning.
Python libraries used in these projects include: Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn, SciPy, Sklearn, XGBoost, Dython, Shap, Tabulate, Nltk, Collections, Textstat, Demoji, Urllib
Looking back at my time at University of Toronto, my Statistics degree helped me develop math, data visualization and critical thinking skills, while my minor in Astrophysics gave me the opportunity to tackle more challenging problems with creativity and experimentation. My second minor in Buddhism, Mental Health, and Psychology reflects my core interest in humanitarian principles and the art of healing.
