Within my professional experience, I have delved into numerous aspects of the communications realm. My most applied professional experience is with Events For Charity; a women lead organization in which works to raise money for Sick Kids Toronto. As the previous event coordinator at Events for charity, as well as a marketing intern at Designs by MK, I have worked my way to the role of project manger where I have been able to apply my new found knowledge of interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as collaborative skills that allow me not only to take charge when needed, but to apply patience and learn from others around me.
Alongside my experience at Events For Charity and Designs by MK, I am also currently employed at Wilfrid Laurier University as an instructional assistant teaching a first year communications class of 25 students on critical writing and communicative techniques.
I am currently in the process of completing my undergraduate degree at Wilfrid Laurier University in the Bachelor of Communications. Within my degree I have taken numerous amounts of applied courses to the specified field of public relations, digital marketing, and project Management. A few sample courses in which I find incredibly useful when entering a new professional position are ideologies taken from Public Communication, Alternative Media Studies, Image, Sound, and Text, Critical Advertising Studies, Social Media Studies, Risk Management and Influencer studies.
