I am a creative worker with over 8 years of experience in the field of marketing and communications. I am currently an Administrative and Communications Assistant at Mackenzie Health.
In 2015 I completed the Corporate Communications/Public Relations graduate program at Sheridan College. Prior to that I earned my Bachelor of Arts undergraduate degree in Honours Communications from Wilfrid Laurier University, as well as the Business Management Option. From previous positions I have gained invaluable experience regarding the various communication approaches and messaging for targeting the specified audiences or profiles within the scope of an organization.
Having taken the Corporate Communications program I learned to develop a range of strategic marketing and communications plans, event planning, current strategies and trends in the market as well as the development of Social Media content. I am a skilled writer with a strong understanding of the Canadian Press Style Guide. I am also proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite programs.
I am a friendly and approachable individual, with a positive attitude and ability to work well in a team or independent setting. I greatly enjoy communicating with customers or clients directly and would describe myself as a problem solver. I am very organized, a hard worker, a quick learner, and am creatively inclined. I enjoy travelling, reading and blogging in my spare time!
