Georgia Wurzer

Hello, my name is Georgia Wurzer and I just recently completed my Bachelor of Science in Biology and the University of Victoria. I have been a passionate volunteer, and the president, of the UVic Stem Cell Club since 2019, and I continue to assist this team as an alumni. Throughout my degree I sought after courses in epidemiology, anatomy, physiology and special topics in molecular biology.

I am very passionate about health care equity for all individuals, with this passion stemming from working with Canadian Blood Services. Working in an environment that prioritizes and values equity is one that I know I will thrive in.

The majority of my work experience involves customer service. I began working as a barista at Starbucks Coffee Company as a teenager and quickly became passionate about brightening peoples days. I have also worked at an event delivery company, Party Mood, in which I completed and delivered large orders and worked with the event staff to create the right experience for the customer.

I have recently completed my Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Victoria. I have also completed the Medical Terminology Assessment at Camosun College.
