Materials Scientist with extensive hands-on experience in the research, synthesis, purification, biofunctionalization, and characterization of nanoparticles and biomaterials. Additionally, experienced in the preparation of pharmaceuticals formulations, in the medical devices industry, as well as in the pulp and paper industry. Passionate about R&D, nanotechnology and biotechnology.
I worked as a manufacturing chemist at Glustitch, where I gained valuable experience in the formulation of cyanoacrylate-based medical devices. Next, I worked as a Research Scientist at Acuitas Therapeutics, where I acquired useful formulation skills of lipid nanoparticles used to deliver mRNA. At Econotech, I gained specialized laboratory skills performing testing of pulp and paper samples and FTIR analysis.
Most recently, I worked as a Laboratory Analyst at ALS Canada, a high-throughput environment where I analysed geochemical samples by ICP-AES.
Both my BSc and MSc are in Chemical Engineering & Biotechnology. And I have a PhD in Chemistry from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, BC Canada.
