Permanent and pensionable position. Working as a WaterWorks Foreman for Water Utilities Corporation with duties including supervision of water supply and wastewater operations.
- Abstracting raw water from a pre-determined point and source then treat it to potable standards by operating water treatment works during the shifts and maintain adequate storage, and transfer to distribution points in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
- Ensure that water meets set standards by regularly monitoring water quality at different stages of treatment.
- To ensure that water quality meets WUC set standards of chlorine content by sampling, chemical analysis, adjustment of dosage, checking pressure replacing chlorine bottles in the treatment plants and various chlorine booster station, analysis of hypochlorite strength and recharging of salts in OSEC plants, keeping inventory of chlorine bottles and salt and ensure availability at all times.
- Treat water to set water quality standards by complying with appropriate treatment methods.
- Operate, monitor and control the SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acqusation) and report any technical faults and deviations to the C&I (Control and Instrumentation) staff.
- Optimize the treatment process by recording operational data and analysis.
- Prepare coagulant to the required dilution ratio of the recommended coagulants and flocculants (Blending).
- Ensure efficient and effective operation of treatment plant, pump station, storage facilities and equipment.
- Carry out Jar test and drop test to determine and apply the optimum dosage.
- Ensure availability of treated water by operating pumping booster stations and making sure that storage facilities are kept full at all times.

- To investigate the condition/state of BHC houses under a program of the company to renovate old houses to a condition suitable to company standards.

- To attend to tenant's problems concerning their housing (problems or issues like tap leakage, wall cracks, blockage of sewage pipes).
