I'm a grown man who's been on his own since 17 years old. Born and raised in government housing from a single mom and now I am a father a husband and the breadwinner. After growing up through government housing and being raised by a single parent you have easily become a street smart individual allowing you to educate yourself and understand the realities of life and can see the scams coming ahead of time. I feel from the vast variety of jobs that I've had it has become a wealth of experienced information that allows me not only to teach my son but provide me with the transferable skills that I believe will be an asset. Some things you just can't learn in life if you haven't been involved in the hardships. As part of the law enforcement I believe my past experiences as well as my current can be a great asset in value.
