I'm a Toronto-based lifestyle content writer with a wealth of commercial and editorial experience. I currently work with St. Joseph Media (SJM) as a branded content editor. I’ve led and produced dozens of creative content campaigns (print and digital) for some of the largest brands in the beauty and fashion industries including L'Oréal, Johnson & Johnson, Michael Kors, Canada Goose and Sorel.
Along with my work with SJM, I’m a passionate freelance storyteller, content writer and copywriter. As a branded content editor, my focus is on developing engaging and compelling lifestyle content campaigns, with a specialization in beauty and fashion. I have had the privilege of working with a range of prominent brands in this space, including L'Oréal, Hot Tools, Revlon, OGX, Lise Watier, and Burberry, to create content that resonates with our publications' unique audiences, while also aligning with their brand values. My goal is to consistently produce content that captures the essence of each brand and delivers value to our target audiences.
Assistant Editor, Salon Magazine October 2019- July 2020, Toronto
My responsibilities included writing and editing professional beauty-centred content for Salon Magazine’s print and digital platforms. This position also allowed me to gain more marketing experience by assisting with the trade publication’s digital advertising campaigns, social media platforms and by being tasked to lead their national Reader’s Choice Awards, an online professional beauty product competition that garnered over 30,000 votes across the country.
Editorial Assistant, CityNews March 2019- Dec. 2019, Toronto
As an Editorial Assistant, my main responsibility was preparing the broadcast rundowns for the CityNews Calgary show by publishing and proofing video stories, corresponding with producers from different cities to track down missing or incomplete video files, and assisting the show producer with any other editorial tasks to ensure the broadcast ran on time.
