Kathryn Duke

Recent graduate of a three-year Advanced Diploma in Business Administration Marketing at Algonquin College. My academic journey has provided me with a solid foundation in marketing strategies, combining both theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience. Working with real-life clients in our projects has been a highlight, allowing me to apply classroom concepts to real-world business scenarios.

Over the past ten years, I have worked in the food and beverage industry. With my background, I have gained experience in customer service, team collaboration, and problem solving.

Algonquin College Client Marketing Projects

• With Algonquin’s focus on practical application of marketing principles learned in the classroom, I had the opportunity to work directly with an Ottawa-based not-for-profit company in creating marketing solutions on two different projects. 
• On both projects I was the team lead of five students, and we were selected by the client as the best proposal out of four teams.
• Developed a comprehensive web marketing strategy, which included website enhancements, social media, other digital channels (online reviews, email, etc.), and search engine marketing.
• Managed client deliverables and presentations over a four-month period demonstrating excellent team coordination and time management skills.
• Required knowledge and use of Canva, Photoshop, web design in Shopify, social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok), MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
