Kirk Bowlby

Hello! My name is Kirk Bowlby, and I’m a 2nd year Industrial Design student based in Ottawa, Canada. Currently, I’m in the Bachelor of Industrial design program at Carleton University.

I have been drawing, making, and designing since I could hold a crayon. One thing I have learned through all of this is my passion for learning new ways to design. I love learning about new techniques and ways to create things, and trying to solve all their intricacies and puzzles. All of this practice in design has allowed me to see things from many angles, and approach problems in different ways that surprise even myself.

Worked at Old Nave as a sales associate from Sept. 2021 - Feb 2022

Worked at KidsCanSwim as Front Desk coordinator, Swim assessor, and Aquatic educator from Jan 2022 - Current day

Both these jobs require me to be highly personable and energetic, and have allowed me to tune my people skills

I’m currently an Industrial Design student at Carleton university. My grades have been consistently high, with my CGPA being 10.66, or roughly an A- average, and very strong grades in my design central courses
