My ambition is to contribute to the necessary transition of our food systems away from business as usual and toward climate resiliency through practices such as regenerative agriculture, improvement of farmer livelihoods, and understanding system dynamics to build programs that support food resilience in Canada.
I have professional experience in agri-food sourcing of fruits and vegetables in one of the largest retailers in Canada, experience working in cross functional, international teams in a food manufacturing company in the Netherlands, and experience in ensuring continuous supply of key medicine in the pharmaceutical industry. Following my strong interest in working in food sustainability, I have completed a Master's of Science in Environmental Management and Policy while gaining work experience in regenerative agriculture, responsible sourcing, corporate sustainability, carbon accounting, and net-zero roadmap development.
A Master's in Environmental Management and Policy where I have taken courses on climate change, environmental policy, sustainable supply chains along with many others that have prepared me to work in many topics. This allows me to be able to connect with a wide stakeholder group and have expertise in a diverse background of topics.
