Liz Pijper

My name is Liz Pijper, I am twenty years old and from Schagerbrug, that's a small village in the Netherlands. I enjoy Pilates, reading and traveling. Through my Hospitality Manager/Entrepreneur study, I gained experience in the kitchen, service and entertainment during three internships, including one in Germany.

During my study, I also learned how to lead teams with practical lessons. From year 1 to year 3, you grow from employee, assistent-manager to manager. In year three I managed, in a duo, the teams of the front office, housekeeping, banqueting and food and beverage.

I also obtained my wine certificates and social hygiene certificates through my study.

I took the electives: beer knowledge, pizza making, and organizing internal events. After my last internship, I went to work at clothing store Vero Moda. I attended the weekly manager meetings and did the weekly stock count.

After the closure of Vero Moda Schagen, I went to Canada for a month. Back in the Netherlands, I started working at bookstore Plukker. I really enjoyed working there, but I wanted to gain a new experience.

So, I applied for a work permit in Canada. I also achieved my ProServe certificate. I now live in Taber, Alberta, and am looking for a new job.
