Canadian willing to relocate or travel. 20 years millwright working experience on light and heavy equipment, repair and maintenance. pumps, gear boxes, conveyors, pulleys, alignment, rigging, blueprints, supervisor, mentor, etc.
I am a Canadian citizen looking to relocate or travel as a Journeyman Millwright with over 20 years’ experience and expertise as a Heavy Equipment Millwright/Mechanic working on shovels with Syncrude Canada.
I have been a full-time employee with Syncrude Canada since 2005 after completing my program. Since working at Syncrude as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. I repair pumps and gear boxes, as well as conveyor heads and tail pulleys, balanced impeller and turbines, also motor alignment.
I read and understand plans and specifications, which includes the Operator's Manuals for equipment repair and blue prints. I am proficient in the use of appropriate hand and power tools to repair, replace and perform maintenance on heavy equipment in a machine shop and/or mine setting.
I have assumed the leadership role of shift supervisor for the maintenance crew. I am responsible for ensuring locks are registered and removed before and after maintenance is completed appropriately on the heavy equipment. I consolidate the details of major repairs and complete good quality reports and spend appropriate time in the field to monitor safety and performance of plant tradespeople and contractors.
As well, I work with maintenance leads and other supervisors to determine resource availability to balance the workforce load accordingly. I develop preliminary workforce schedules to ensure all material, information, tools are available prior to scheduling work.
I am physically fit to work in all working conditions, able to lift 50 lbs without difficulty and able to complete a Physical Demands Assessment. I have a clean Driver abstract and can pass an Alcohol and Drug test.
