Hello, my name is MacKenzie Billings, an aspiring Business Analyst. Currently, I am in post-graduate studies for Business Insights and Analytics at Humber College. Previously, I obtained a degree in Business Management and Organization Studies with a specialization in accounting from Western University. With an emphasis on financial reporting, analysis and managerial skills through previous employment I have built a strong foundation aligned with my current career objective.

Given my enterprising nature, taking initiative and leading in the workplace to tackle various problems is a skill of mine. In order to solve our high staff turnover rate at Western Athletics, I developed and implemented training programs for staff members that increased our employee retention rate by 15%.

In my previous position as a Financial Transaction Analyst within the Western University Audit department, I efficiently utilized excel to investigate employee expense claims leading to the discovery of 5% of claims that did not meet the expense criteria.

As a person who values Altruism, I am dedicated to helping colleagues succeed within their roles to create a cohesive team atmosphere. While working as Event Supervisor at Western University I was Awarded ‘Supervisor of the Year’ for 2 consecutive years for this reason.

I am passionate about the field of Business Analytics as shown through my 3.9 GPA by efficiently utilizing Python, SQL, R, and SPSS software for various projects.

I am a fitness enthusiast currently training for my first powerlifting competition. Combining my love for data and fitness, a current project of mine using SPSS is focused on driving statistics and correlations between my daily workout performance and lifestyle in order to be able to maximize my output results within the gym.
