Megh Durston

I work in Post-Secondary student affairs and I am passionate about student development and education. I enjoy having a part in student transition and helping students through their university years! I have been in this department for 3 years! I excel in organization skills, communication skills, and support skills.

For the past three years I have been working at the Housing and Residence Life Services Department at Carleton University. i have worked in multiple different roles, including a Residence Fellow, a Client Service Representative, the Summer Residence Life Assistant, and a Community Advisor.

As a Community Advisor at the Housing and Residence Life Services Department at Carleton University, my role is to develop student and student staff learning. Primary my job is to meet with students who have violated Residence Policies on a 1-1 basis and provide strategies for productive growth. These meetings or organized through my knowledge of Word, Outlook, and student Softwares.

Additionally, I act as a leader for the student staff in Residence Life and provide mentorship and advice when needed.

I am currently finishing my degree at Carleton University. My degree is a BA Honours majoring in History and Political Science. My main areas of interest are related to News Media through the lens of both disciplines.
