Micah Dyck

I am a trained graphic designer and illustrator. I have several years of freelance under my belt, and am currently to expand my abilities in concept art and character design.

Throughout my years of freelancing, I have developed many skills. I have learned how to communicate with clients and to ascertain what they expect from me and how to best fulfill those expectations. I have developed a detail-oriented approach that allows me to ascertain how key details will fit and affect the final product. I have learned how to work quickly, with deadlines and in an organized manner.

I recently graduated from Red River College Polytechnic, where I took their graphic design program. Here I have been developing my knowledge of essential programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. I have also been working on growing my concept art skills, specifically environment and prop design. As part of their curriculum, I took several illustration classes. This is where I learned composition techniques, hue and value importance, and correct perspective. I have also learned how to collaborate with other designers in large and fast-paced projects.
