Mike Lacey

I am an experienced journalist who has spent more than two decades as a writer and editor. I love to write, cook and spend time with my family.

Worked for more than 20 years in various capacities for community newspapers. Most recently I served as managing editor for eight community newspapers and one website in Ontario's Durham Region. Developed a Reader-First content strategy for both our print and online products. I have previously worked as a digital editor where I learned skills around SEO, social media management, newsletter curation and data analysis. As a writer, my work was recognized multiple times at the Ontario Community Newspaper Association's annual awards gala.

In 2001, I graduated from Centennial College's three-year print journalism program.
