Recent graduate from University of Ottawa, seeking for an opportunity in the Software Engineering realm.
I have worked as a Data Scientist and a PCB Technician, which has helped me to develop my skills in data analysis and circuit board preparation. As a Data Scientist at Larus Technologies, I partnered with Unilever to analyze data and enhance clustering algorithms, improving the efficiency and accuracy of the process by 20%. I also designed a plotting script to display clusters for better analysis by stakeholders.
During my time as a PCB Technician at Waterloo Technical Instruments Inc., I prepared printed circuit boards for flashing, testing all components on the board, and flashed PCBs using Raspberry Pi. I also set up power supplies to test boards to ensure they were in working order.
I am currently working on two exciting projects. The first project is a Capstone project where I am collaborating with a team to design and develop a smart camera system for law enforcement officers. This system facilitates real-time license plate and facial detection to identify potential suspects, and I am responsible for implementing scrum methodologies, front-end development, and back-end solutions using Python.
The second project is an e-Hotels project where I conceptualized, designed, and implemented a comprehensive ER diagram and relational database schema to enable efficient hotel chain management. I also developed SQL queries and indexes to ensure seamless querying and designed and developed a user-friendly web application using SQLite, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Flask to enhance the customer experience.
With a BASc in Computer Engineering and proficiency in several programming languages and tools, including Java, Python, HTML, CSS, SQL, Docker, Git, and JavaScript, I have a strong technical background and am passionate about solving complex problems.
I completed my Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Ottawa. Throughout my studies, I gained a strong foundation in computer engineering concepts, including programming languages, algorithms, data structures, and computer organization. I also learned about circuit analysis, electronics, and telecommunications.
In addition to the core curriculum, I had the opportunity to specialize in areas of interest to me, such as data science, machine learning, and database management.
Overall, my education has provided me with the knowledge and skills I need to pursue a career in computer engineering and solve complex technical problems.
