Strategic SourcingSupplier ManagementBudget OversightInventory ManagementLogistics Coordination

About

Senior Procurement and Supply Chain leader with 28 years of Canadian manufacturing experience across strategic sourcing, global procurement, supplier negotiations, cost optimization, working capital, international logistics and customs/brokerage coordination.

I began my career in a junior purchasing role and progressed to North American Regional Sourcing Manager and ultimately Director of Purchasing. I have managed complex procurement portfolios of $50M+ annually across polyurethane chemicals, plastics, fiber, packaging, logistics and corporate services.

My approach to procurement goes beyond negotiating price. I evaluate the complete commercial picture—total landed cost, payment terms, inventory, working capital, logistics, customs, operational requirements, risk and continuity of supply.

Career highlights include

  • Delivered approximately $6M in documented first-year procurement savings after joining Domfoam in 2023.
  • Reduced the purchase price of a critical polyurethane raw material from approximately $1.52/lb to $0.65/lb within eight months—a 57% reduction.
  • Improved payment terms from approximately 30 to 60 days across ~$16M in annual supplier spend, strengthening working-capital flexibility.
  • During COVID-related North American raw-material shortages, developed five alternative suppliers in China, helping maintain critical material availability and manufacturing continuity.
  • Built global sourcing relationships across China, Vietnam, South Korea, India, Sri Lanka, the Netherlands and the United States.
  • Developed an international chemical transloading strategy integrating offshore sourcing, ocean freight, customs/brokerage, port logistics, temperature-controlled transloading and final bulk delivery while improving logistics economics and working capital.

I believe procurement performance should be measurable. I establish baseline pricing and track actual purchase costs against material consumption, providing a transparent view of savings, market movements and procurement’s financial contribution.

My experience combines strategic procurement leadership with hands-on knowledge of manufacturing, international logistics, customs, supplier markets, working capital and supply-chain problem solving.

I am exploring Director-level Procurement, Purchasing and Supply Chain opportunities where I can improve cost competitiveness, working capital, supply security and operational performance.
