Hi there!
I’m Myo, a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Manitoba’s department of Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases in Canada. I wear multiple hats, doing data science and bioinformatics with a background in epidemiology, implementation science, and medical training.
My current work focuses on understanding infectious diseases in underserved populations. Right now, I’m deep into studying human papillomavirus among female sex workers and gbMSM communities in Nairobi. Additionally, I’m delving into the fascinating realm of immune cells in cervical mucosa using RNA sequencing.
One of my exciting projects involves analyzing antibody responses to SARS-CoV-2 in different groups. It’s all about unraveling how our immune systems react in this ever-evolving landscape.
I have a PhD in Epidemiology.
