(she/her) I am a Chinese-Syrian poet and facilitator from Port Colborne living and playing in Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral unceded homeland of the Mi'kmaq.
My gift to the world is creative mischief to feed and embody the world we want. For decades, I have supported cooperatives, organizations and coalitions with equity, gender justice, governance and ensuring that their social business models are aligned with their relationships and values. This led to a focus on social entrepreneurship, community and social finance, and community land trusts for housing and reparative relations. My roles have varied: artist, writer/researcher, community organizer/volunteer, coach/facilitator, director/manager, activist. I am also a published poet and wellness coach, certified personal trainer. Sharing and connecting our stories is key to healing and building the collective futures we want. Personal and collective wellness and care cannot be something we do on the side. Rest, collective care and how we centre spirit-body (and not only mind), is central to the world we all deserve and the one I am creating with others.
