The Funnery Play Park & Cafe, Manager (December 2022-Present)
● Managing the only indoor play park and cafe in Newmarket with a team of thirteen employees. Job duties include creating weekly schedules on “When to Work” app, keeping facilities stocked and ordering from vendors. Call + email parents to book and schedule parties as well as assist them with any questions and concerns. Manage guest registrations and payments.
● Preparing and serving customers food orders and ensuring all food and beverages are handled and made according to food safety regulations. Preparing and serving hot or cold beverages, including teas and espresso based drinks using an espresso machine, Moka pot, single brew and cold brew.
Wild Wing, Server & Bartender (February 2023-Present)
● Greet customers and take food and beverage orders. Use a POS system to calculate tabs and process payments. Perform opening and closing procedures as well as maintain cleanliness and stock in bar area throughout the shift.
● Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for customers. Relay to patrons daily drink and food specials and work with the chef to make accommodations for those with allergies and food restrictions. Serve and ensure food and service is satisfactory
Viva Thornhill Woods Retirement Community, Dietary Aide and Front Desk Clerk (August 2021-December 2022)
● As a dietary aide, provided meals for residents in assisted-living and independent living facilities. Also involved food preparation, helped with kitchen maintenance, setting tables, delivering food, washing dishes, and maintaining food inventories. Had to have a deep understanding of residents dietary restrictions as well as medical history and current health problems + medications
● As a front desk clerk was responsible for greeting all visitors and residents coming in and out of the home, answering questions, and designing/writing up posters and documents regarding home information and events.
