I am currently a 4th year Honours BSc in Biomedical Science undergraduate student at the University of Waterloo I am a passionate and detail-oriented individual with a vast amount of leadership and volunteering experience aiming to be an asset in the Pharmaceutical industry through exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
I have a strong passion for health and development and desire to continue to follow this passion by working in a field that grants me the opportunity to create a positive impact on the lives of others. I am a lifelong learner and I am always looking for ways to develop my knowledge in every domain I find myself in.
Throughout my education, I have gained crucial experience in the science and medical field through various volunteering and research opportunities mainly focusing on ALS diseases that I have been fortunate to partake in. By performing various chemistry, physics and physiology lab experiments, I have developed my problem-solving and decision-making skills, making me more prepared for problems that need quick solutions. I have strengthened my research skills through the use of numerous literature databases such as PUBMED.
My experience as a Customer Experience and Sales Associate at Walmart has helped me to gain important transferable skills such as communication (through effectively discussing and planning with my coworkers), adaptability (during difficult situations such as power outages, I was able to provide the customers with needed assistance), computer skills, etc. I have also developed my speaking and interpersonal skills, which helped me to promote the registration of numerous Walmart Mastercards, providing customers with amazing benefits.
During my free time, I enjoy playing soccer. I have been the captain of my soccer intramural team for a few months and it has been an amazing and fun experience where I can continue to be active as well as develop as a leader and team member.
I hope to be an important addition to the workforce and look forward to discussing more on any potential opportunities.
