I run a small company called the Small Job Guy but feel the need to have more reliable income hence applying for the Maintenance Worker position at Selkirk College in Castlegar. Formerly I worked for IH as Maintenance Supervisor at Columbia View Lodge in Trail and before that, I was a maintenance worker at KBRH. I am great with people, courteous, and respectful. I've worked a few jobs in Hospitality and know the importance of customer relations and representing your employer to the utmost. I think this position would be ideal for my skillset and I'm looking forward to making contact and seeing if I'm a fit for the position. Kind Regards Paul E
My professional experience is somewhat varied having worked in industry for much of my career before finally settling in Canada.
Briefly, I have worked in mid-management positions in construction and commissioning (Hydro, Mining, and Oil & Gas), and recently have downscaled my work to more of the smaller maintenance-based roles although I worked 2 positions as Maintenance Supervisor in the last 5 years. I have a great ability to problem solve and can work our mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems extraordinarily well.
My most relevant education for this position is
WHIMIS and Canadian Industrial First Aid, however, have an associate Diploma in Electrical Engineering and held both Electrical/Instrumentation trades in Australia before emigrating.
