Ron Landeryou

My name is Ron Landeryou over the past 30 years I have worked my way from junior draftsperson to senior Cadd supervisor and then to intermediate instrumentation designer.

As Cadd supervisor I oversaw a group of 4 draftspersons, built company standard libraries, initiated a company drawing control system and began design work.

I then moved on to be an intermediate instrumentation designer which I did for 13 years. This included extensive use of INTools, Autocad, Microstation, creating project scopes of work, instrumentation specification sheets, with the use of Microsoft’s Office products. The company saw fit to send me not only to Calgary Alberta, but Croydon England.

I have 4 years experience doing civil, structural design in cold formed steel designing load bearing walls and trusses. This included creation of 3D project models with Autocad Architecture, structural calculations, installation details and manufacturing drawings, using Mitek Steel Engine. Project management, product ordering, production and drawing control were also standard duties. I am currently doing this remotely from home.

I was employed by Worley ECR as an Electrical Design/Draftsperson doing Autocad/Microstation drawings, project scopes of work, cable schedules and routing using Word and Excel.

I have 25yrs in the Instrumentation Field and over 30yrs experience in both Autocad and Microstation.

I have taught individual and groups in the use of both Autocad and Microstation at various companies.

I have worked in both team and self directed settings including instruction of juniors in both

Autocad and Microstaton.

Have completed Solidworks I and 2 training from George Brown College.

• Assist with Electrical design and preparing Scopes of Work
• Prepare Electrical / Instrumentation Drawings using Autocad and Microstation
• Create cable schedule, verify length and routing using model and Navisworks
• Design and generate instrument Loop and Marshalling Panel drawings from Excel spreadsheet and I/O list
• Generate 3D Model for load bearing walls and trusses using Autocad Architecture and Steel Engine
• Calculate Structural Loads on Bearing walls, point loads and overhangs
• Generate Structural Manufacturing drawings for shop and oversee shop fabrication
• Order Materials for shop fabrication
• Prepare estimates and bid packages, installation details, and layouts
• Manage construction of awarded projects in manufacturing and construction
• Size orifice plates and valves
• Input SAP Instrumentation and Electrical functional locations and equipment data
• Input INtools loops, Junction Boxes, Marshalling Panels, PLC's, IO cards
• Input Instrumentation data sheets into GRT spreadsheets
• Prepare Instrumentation bid evaluations and Instrument specifications
• Prepare loop drawings, project and Instrument specifications
• Generate new Electrical / Instrument Installation Details or modify from plant standards
• Produce structural steel and civil drawings, and oversee job quality control
• Field surveying, measuring, preparation of bid and construction packages and maintenance of CAD standards
• Maintaining CAD standards and client requirements
• Field check instrumentation and cable tray, routing, production of schematics, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, 

• Provide instrument electrical drawings including schematic, one lines, loops, marshalling panels, P&ID’s and junction box drawings using MicroStation and AutoCAD, and assist Alliance partner in producing as-builts and train their staff with MicroStation
• Preparing Scope of Work, Engineering Work Package, Feed documents
