Saad Equbal

I am a visual and analytic researcher currently working with Dr. Matthew Hamilton at the VAC lab at Memorial University. In my most recent position, I served as a Software Developer and Data Analyst at Quality of Care in St. John’s.

In this role, I actively contributed to the development of a profile analytics application at IBM, showcasing my proficiency as a Software Developer. Additionally, I conducted data analysis in NLCHI's Data Lab, handling highly sensitive data and ensuring strict adherence to data privacy and security protocols.

My responsibilities included actively participating in weekly meetings with the staff of Quality of Care to discuss project progress, gather feedback, and align objectives. I applied statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to derive valuable insights from the sensitive data, highlighting my skills in data analysis.

Currently, I am pursuing a major in Computer Science at Memorial University of Newfoundland with an IUGS scholarship and have been recognized on the Dean's List in 2021. My academic journey has been complemented by completing six courses in Google Project Management, spanning six months and developed by Google.
