Samaria Nancy Cardinal | Indigenous Therapy Specialist | Advocate for Mental Wellness and Cultural Healing
🌟 Empowering individuals and communities through culturally sensitive, trauma-informed care.
I am Samaria Nancy Cardinal, a proud Blackfoot-Metis therapist with over 20 years of experience in disability, addictions, and mental health. As the Owner and Lead Indigenous Therapy Specialist at Flower In The Wind Therapy, I specialize in providing compassionate, culturally grounded therapeutic services tailored to my clients' unique needs. My practice integrates Indigenous healing traditions, such as smudging, drumming, and sharing circles, with evidence-based approaches like EMDR, narrative therapy, and Intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO) couples therapy.
I am licensed in Alberta and offer virtual therapy sessions via the Jane app and in-person sessions in Calgary. I am actively working toward expanding my practice across Canada to increase access to culturally appropriate mental health care.
To create a safe, supportive space where individuals and families can reconnect with their inner strength, heal from trauma, and embrace their Sacred Being—their core self that remains whole and resilient despite life’s challenges.
