As a Petroleum Operator and Driver Operator in the Royal Logistic Corps, I gained extensive experience in managing bulk fuel operations, logistical movement, and safety protocols. I led the deployment and operation of fuel sites, including a major Bulk Fuel Petroleum Supply Depot in the Falkland Islands, overseeing the safe handling and movement of millions of litres of fuel. I was responsible for implementing health and safety measures, reducing fire risks, and ensuring environmental compliance. Additionally, I spearheaded the construction of advanced fuel systems and installations, managing projects from planning to execution. My leadership skills were honed through training and mentoring junior operators and drivers, ensuring adherence to operational standards while optimizing efficiency and safety in all logistical operations.
