My name is Simar Dhillon, and I am currently enrolled in the Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic in Regina. With a strong passion for healthcare and a deep commitment to helping others, I have dedicated myself to this field of study.
My journey in the world of healthcare began with my one-year experience as an elder caregiver. During this time, I had the privilege of providing care, compassion, and support to elderly individuals who needed assistance with their daily lives. This experience allowed me to develop crucial skills in patient care, communication, and empathy. It also reinforced my desire to pursue a formal education in the healthcare field, which led me to enroll in the CCA program.
At Saskatchewan Polytechnic, I am gaining comprehensive knowledge and practical training in the principles of caregiving, medical procedures, and healthcare ethics. I am enthusiastic about applying what I learn in the classroom to real-world situations, ultimately contributing to the well-being of individuals in need.
In summary, I am Simar Dhillon, a dedicated student in the CCA program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic, with a year of hands-on experience in elder caregiving. My aspiration is to continue making a positive impact in the healthcare sector and to provide quality care to those who depend on it.
