I like to be an active part of the team and give input towards safety. Currently I am working as a rope access tech and b pressure welder with Tacten at the Albian oil sands. I enjoy this type of work as it challenges me everyday. I have also for many years worked on gas compression skids, building the skids as well as the pipe stands and installing. Lastly where my welding career all started was building agriculture parts and scoops.
B pressure welder / September 2021 - Present
Suspended in a harness while on ropes and welding or fitting, read and follow blueprints,
report to immediate supervisor, give input as to how to do the job differently, or how to put the ropes to make the job easier.
Structural welder / Skids / August 2014 - July 2019
Welded on skids, read and follow blueprints, welding cranes, operate overhead and jib cranes. Assisted and started learning how to fit skids, sleepers, pans, and crane pads. Operate drill press, mag drill, band saw and oxy cutting. Weld out CJP with 100% UT success rate, PJP,
stiffners, and lugs.
Production welder / February 2012 - July 2014
Read and follow blueprints, set up and weld parts in the proper jig, operate cranes.
