I am writing to express my interest in opportunities within your school or community environment. After many years working at Costco, I am looking forward to taking the experience, patience, dependability, and people skills I have developed throughout my career and bringing them into a role where I can make a positive difference in the lives of children and families. My years at Costco have given me extensive experience working with the public, resolving concerns, maintaining safety standards, working as part of a team, and remaining calm and professional in challenging situations.
I have worked in a variety of roles and departments, which has taught me to be adaptable, responsible, and willing to step in wherever I am needed. My greatest experience, however, has come from being a mother and grandmother. I raised my two children as a single mom, and I am incredibly proud of the adults they have become.
I am now very involved in the lives of my grandchildren and spend a great deal of time with them and their friends. These experiences have taught me patience, understanding, communication, compassion, and the importance of creating a safe and supportive environment for children. I have applied to volunteer at my grandson's school, which will give me the opportunity to experience a school environment from a different perspective.
I believe my maturity, life experience, strong work ethic, and genuine care for children and families would allow me to be a positive addition to a school or community team. I am dependable, approachable, comfortable working with people of all ages, and always willing to learn something new. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my experience and skills could contribute to your organization.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my application. I look forward to hearing from you.
