Tiana Maki

After graduating from Canadore College's Mental Health and Addictions program, I worked with the homeless population before returning to school to pursue Social Service Work. Through my studies and experiences supporting individuals with disabilities, I discovered a passion for helping others reach their full potential. I strive to create a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental environment through effective communication, empathy, and professionalism.

After some years of experience in this field, I'm confident that my knowledge of crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and communication skills can make me an asset to your team. I am also a fast learner and am open and willing to learn anything I can to do my job to the best of my ability. I understand the value of helping others and being compassionate yet professional.

I can work efficiently with teams, or independently to get any task done. My adaptability allows me to work in many different environments and speak with people from various backgrounds. My experience in mental health and addictions and social service work has taught me the power of genuine and authentic connections, and I am committed to bringing that same energy to your team.
