Hello, my name is Tyler Gulbis, I am a grade 11 student and I'm looking for a part-time job that suits my ambitions and skills. I am a fast learner, both an independent worker and team player, and I have had lots of experience working with people in a lot of different social settings.
I am passionate about the world around me, of film and media. I understand the importance of being respectful to all people. There is something about workers who love what they do and express it that encourages me to find a job where I can make others lives and experiences that much better. I love the outdoors and trying things that are new even if it's out of my comfort zone. Overall I have great people skills, I am a responsible, hard working person who is determined to find a place in today's working world.
While I have never had a full job before due to my young age, I have been a part of several leadership teams where my main job was to assist and support others and make them feel welcome, and I learned the importance of being patient and professional as well as engaging in potentially stressful situations. From a young age I was involved in multiple volunteer positions at Arts Unleashed, where I helped with promotional events, summer camps, and programs at this arts and drama studio. I have also spent 3 consecutive years helping out in an elementary schools office during school hours, assisting staff members and students, answering phone calls and even giving basic first aid. Speaking of which, I have a Standard First Aid and CPR certification as well as an SHSM Certification at TRACA for Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship.
My education has always been very important to me. I am currently in the second semester of my third year of high school at Dunbarton, where I have completed courses with a 90% or higher overall score such as Communication Technology, Family Studies, Outdoor Education and was a part of the Environment SHSM and was awarded Honours Standing for Academic Excellence, Certificate of Merit in the Dramatic Arts. Before that I graduated elementary school with Honours, the Principals Award or Student Leadership and the Science Award.
