I'm Umer Brohi, a Master's graduate in Business Administration with an undergraduate degree in Marketing from the Canadian University of Dubai. My comprehensive education spans Management, Marketing, Finance, Research, Economics, and Accounting. Fascinated by marketing immediately after high school, it aligned perfectly with my creative instincts.
Holding a Bachelor's degree enhanced by internships at Technogym and KidsDxb Holiday Camps, I honed my sales and marketing prowess, excelling in integrated marketing communications within vibrant teams. My expertise covers brand marketing, client management, B2B marketing, budgeting, and project management. Proficient in social media, website editing, and ad production, I seamlessly connect marketing teams with clients, upholding brand integrity.
Before moving to Canada, I had worked in the hardware and industrial fabrics industry spanning vital areas such as business operations, sales and marketing, as well as client account management. Although these industries didn't perfectly align with my career objectives, they provided valuable opportunities to apply my foundational business knowledge in practice and enhance my soft skills.
My time in Canada so far was primarily focused on the completion of my MBA. However, I was fortunate to work at VIU’s student services as a Project Leader for the Co-Curricular Record and its accompanying app where I got my first taste of Canadian work experience. The last year and half were filled with experiences in project management such as budget oversight, successful implementation of governance and community of practice, as well as adhering to ever-changing university budgets.
