Yan Ho Chau

I am a 2D animator with 2+ years in the animation industry, who have worked with different animators and participated in some Hong Kong award-winning animations. Those experiences have given me an understanding of the pipeline and the ability to work in different positions. I have created animation through Toon Boom Harmony, After Effect, Photoshop and other softwares, and am willing to learn more in order to fit in any work environment.

Freelance Animator (Hong Kong)

Noom Limited  Spring 2022 – Present

• Using Adobe After Effect, Character Animator and other softwares to create educational animated shorts for Monkey Tree English Learning Center.
• Worked with a lead animator and other team members to solve technique issues.
• Worked on specific goals for clients, updating every detail of the animation with revision.
• Cooperated with a live-action team to produce videos containing animated and live characters.

MoSoSiSi Studio Fall 2021 – Spring 2022

• Worked on in-between animation, clean up and coloring in the animated film “Loooop”.
• Working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• The film won the 9th Hong Kong Animation Support Program Tier 3 Silver Award.

Weird Power Creative Fall 2019 – Spring 2020

• Worked as a 2D fx animator in the animated film “Blood Swim”.
• Making artistics decisions to match the fx with character animation.
• The film won the 8th Hong Kong Animation Support Program Tier 2 Gold Award
