Elodie Mermet

During my career as a controller, I was passionate about analysing financial data, finding the root causes of performance changes and turning data into insights to help optimise revenues.

When I moved to Zurich, I decided to take my career in a new direction.

I learned new skills, programming languages like Python, SQL and R as well as visualisation tools to make clearer analyses and better predictions.

Today, I'm looking forward to expanding my horizons to analyse more data and help companies solve their problems.

I started my career as a trainee in the watchmaking company Chopard where I worked in the controlling department. I was responsible for the budget and the follow-up of the factory's expenses but I also participated in the creation of sales reports. I also set up standard costing for watches and jewellery. In my current position at Acutronic, I calculate the standard costs for the production of respirators, I participate in the monthly closing and I improve the reporting tools.

I graduated a master in Corporate Finance at the University of Annecy-le-vieux in Haute Savoie in France. during my studies, I went to study for a year in Scotland where I was able to perfect my English but also meet incredible people from all horizons and cultures. A few years later and wanting to keep up to date I did a CAS in Finance and Accounting at the University of Lausanne. Finally, I decided to give a new impulse to my career by reinforcing my technical skills as a Data Analyst.

I am currently completing the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate.
