Julia Zander

Eight years of international experience across a broad range of stakeholder engagement and corporate business functions within UniCredit Group, while holding two Master degrees in International Business and Corporate Banking. In the last years I grew into senior roles of global departments validating my resiliency and team spirit, ease of integration and strong sense of duty, all while testifying her competences in business management, and investor relations and strategic communication.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Sabbatical year (02/2024-present)

• Solo Backpacking trip through South Asia, Europe and South America focusing on personal growth, improving self-management skills while embracing cultural sensitivity.

Senior Associate, Group Investor Relations, Milan, Italy (01/2022- 01/2024)

• Responsible in writing the Press Release of the financial quarter results comprising a company snapshot on key performance indicators, balance sheet and P&L description. 
• Compilation of a daily sell-side analyst notes’ summary on the company, peers, industry trends, macroviews and investor concerns.
• Compile key talking points / Q&As for C-level management used for investor conferences and roadshows, in collaboration with key internal stakeholders.
• Active communication and alignment with internal and external stakeholders. 

• Pivot role between business and risk management: collection and defense of business needs across the Group to establish country limit credit plafonds.
• Development of an estimation to assess the liquidity coverage ratio of trade finance products at group level, as part of a new regulatory requirement. 

• Preparation of presentations to senior management, organization of the Global Working Capital workshop (with approx. 200 participants); coordination with product and sales teams on business pipeline updates and ongoing product project implementations.
• Steering of the selection and onboarding criteria of FinTechs active in the Working Capital field, for joint partnerships with the Group.
• Won the 1st Prize of the GTBrain Innovation Contest in 2019 with an invitation to the Eurofinance Conference, Denmark.

• Responsible for Trade Finance and Clearing revenues originated in the Central and Eastern European region, by maintaining and enhancing the relationship with Financial Institutions in the region. Accomplished a revenue increase of 35% YoY of the CEE portfolio mainly due to acquisition of new bank and payment providers as clients, and by renegotiating of existing clearing contracts. 
• Deputy of the correspondent bank relationship manager responsible for Russia, Turkey & Commonwealth of Independent States market.

• 18-month development program with structured on-the-job experience with international job rotation;
• Coordinator of the first Global Transaction Banking social community in 2015-2016 with the purpose of knowledge sharing and network expansion by organizing monthly digital events.

• Preparation of senior management documentation for the Global Account Manager of the Americas region (senior briefings, minutes, prospective soundings).
