I am willing and committed to learn new skills and gain experience in any role. I currently live in Scotland, UK. But I am planning on moving to Appelhülsen, Germany to join my partner who is currently living and working there.
3 Bears Nursery – March 2015-Present
Throughout my time with my employer, I have worked from the bottom up. I started as an apprentice in March 2015. A year later I gained my qualification (SVQ level 3 Social Services- Children and Young People).
During this role, it was my responsibility to provide a caring, nurturing and educational environment for the children in my care. I oversaw between 5-8 children who were in my group. It was my responsibility to use Together We Can and We Will Curriculum when carrying out observations and planned activities with all the children.
I was responsible for ensuring the children thrive and work towards all their milestones. I work within this role for 3 years before I was promoted to Nursery Senior. As nursery senior, it was my responsibility to work alongside the Nursery Manager to ensure the nursery runs smoothly and it is kept to a high standard.
I was responsible for ensure all the staff fulfilled their roles to ensure the children always received a high level of care. During my time as Senior practitioner I attended college and gained my next qualification (Professional Development Award in Childhood Practice – SCQF Level 8). Two years after gaining this qualification I was promoted to Nursery Manager.
It is my responsibility to oversee the whole nursery. I am responsible for 9 members of staff and 35 children. I ensure all areas of the nursery are risk assessed and ensure all policies and legislations are followed and implemented.
I am responsible for keeping all children's records up to date and ensuring everything is data protected. I also use my admin skills to use different Microsoft programmes such as spread sheets, microsoft word and excel.
